How Lucia Klapacova Transformed Heartbreak Into a Coaching Career That’s Changing Lives

When Success on the Outside Isn’t Enough

Lucia Klapacova had everything a résumé could envy.

She was a diplomat. A political leader. A global problem-solver fluent in multiple languages and cultural codes. To the outside world, she looked unstoppable.

But behind closed doors, the same relationships she helped nurture between nations… were ones she couldn’t seem to sustain in her personal life.

“I had everything. I was smiling. I was successful,” Lucia remembers. “But inside… it hurt. Badly.”

It was a hidden ache, masked by accomplishment. Until one moment cracked it all wide open.

The Inciting Incident: One Walk That Changed Everything

After another painful breakup, Lucia walked through the streets of Bratislava to visit a friend. Her friend had a loving husband and a peaceful home—everything Lucia wanted but couldn’t seem to create.

“What do you do differently than I do?” she asked.

The conversation that followed would change her life.

“I understood that I had much more power than I believed.”

That moment didn’t fix everything. But it awakened something.

Lucia realized that she could change.

And that realization led her into the unknown.

It’s the same turning point that draws so many into life coach training programs and even a life coach certification program, the moment you realize change starts with you.

The Shift: From Pain to Power

She didn’t launch a business. First, she dismantled the one inside herself.

She dove into self-discovery: breathwork, dance, trauma work, ayahuasca, and spirituality. She explored the feminine, studied late into the night, and spent years examining her own emotional wiring.

Most importantly, she practiced.

“I tried to bring what I learned into reality, into the practice of my life,” she said. “That’s the key. If we don’t bring it into our bodies, into our relationships—it won’t change anything.”

Eventually, she found Madanes-Leonard Training.

“I didn’t do it for my clients. I didn’t even know if I would have clients,” Lucia said. “I did it for me.”

And it changed everything.

The Decision: Letting Go of a Political Career

Lucia knew it was time to leave her political career behind.

“I had the money only for six months of my life,” she said. “And then Core 100 Training came up. It cost $5,000. Half my savings.”

She clicked purchase in a hotel room in Lebanon.

And in that moment, she wasn’t just enrolling in a program.

She was claiming her future.

“That decision brought me clarity. For the first time, I understood why I was doing what I was doing, what had happened to me, and how I could finally change it.”

For anyone today searching for a certified life coach near me or considering an executive life coach certification, Lucia’s leap shows what happens when you invest in yourself first.

Building Her Brand of Transformation

Lucia didn’t build a business overnight. She simply told the truth.

She shared one post on Facebook about changing her career path.

And people started reaching out.

“I stayed focused on the people,” she said. “When I saw someone who had never had a healthy relationship finally find one… I knew this was it.”

Within months, Lucia had her first paying clients.

Within a year, she had built her own program.

Today, she leads one of the most influential relationship coaching schools in Slovakia and the Czech Republic, with a growing team, bestselling books, live events, and thousands of clients served.

Her journey mirrors what many graduates of life coaching programs and structured coaching training programs discover: once you begin serving clients, opportunities flow!

Her Advice for Aspiring Coaches

Lucia believes everyone holds more power than they realize.

“We have much bigger impact on our love lives than we ever believed,” she said. “But we have to take responsibility. That’s where freedom begins.”

Her advice?

  • Start with yourself.
  • Practice what you learn.
  • Don’t wait until you’re perfect—start when you’re real.

“You can read a million books,” she says, “but if you’re not applying what you learn, it won’t work. Understanding alone isn’t enough. You have to live it.”

The best life coach certification programs emphasize real practice, not just theory. Whether through in-person life coach training courses or flexible life coach training online, transformation only happens when you live what you learn.

Final Thoughts: Your Turning Point Might Be One Decision Away

Lucia’s story didn’t start with a marketing plan.

It started with heartbreak.
With pain.
With an ache she could no longer ignore.

But it ended with a transformation.

Today, she’s not only changed her own life—she’s helping others rewrite theirs.

If you’re standing at a similar crossroads, wondering if you can turn your pain into purpose, this is your sign.

You don’t need to have it all figured out.

You just need to decide.

Goals Shape Who You Become

Every December, people talk about goals. Every January, most of them quietly abandon them. This isn’t because people lack motivation. It’s because most goals are written at the surface level of life, while real change happens much deeper.

On Life Coaching

As a coach, you are an agent of change, so the first belief you must have if you're going to create change in others is that you can change yourself. The second belief is that you are responsible for your own change, not anyone else...
